Billing Specialist |
I
am a Colorado native who moved to Buena Vista in 2001 from Denver.
The Rocky Mountains are where my heart has always been. I love the
beautiful views and warm sunshine this valley offers. I previously
worked for physicians and more recently in health insurance.
I went to work in a home health setting in 2005. I am proud to be
associated with the people at Premier Home Care with their strong
work ethics in providing excellence in homecare services to the people
of this area.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, Bruce, and my two Shih-Tzus,
Big Al and Sadie Mae. My hobbies include music, beading, knitting,
and arts and crafts.

Aleah Johnstone
Occupational Therapy Assistant |
My
name is Aleah Johnstone and I am a Certified Occupational Therapy
Assistant. Since my graduation in 1998 I have worked in hospitals,
schools, adult day care centers, nursing homes, and in home health.
I have lived in Salida with my two children for four years. We love
Chaffee County for its abundance of fantastic qualities including
skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and the Arkansas River.
Never mind the hot springs in every direction! Most importantly,
I enjoy the people who make up this amazing community. We feel honored
to call it home. |
|
I
was born in Salida and raised in Buena Vista. My love for this area
and all that it offers drew me back after five years of being away.
I spent a couple of years in Denver doing my nursing prerequisites
and acquiring my Nurse Aide Certification. After Denver I moved to
Boulder, Colorado and began my education at the Holistic Learning
Center in Evergreen. I received my Massage Therapy Certification from
that spectacular school.
While in Boulder I met the man who would soon be my husband. I brought
him to BV to meet my family and he quickly fell in-love with this
beautiful area, not to mention with me! We have now lived her almost
two years. |

Haven Halk
Certified Nursing Assistant

I am a new staff addition to Premier, but I have had the unique experience
of working with them as they, my mother, and I cared for my grandmother
in her end of life process. I was truly touched and honored by how
they worked with my grandma so skillfully and gently. I am proud to
have joined their numbers in professionally and compassionately serving
our community. |

Nick Jones
Physical Therapist |
My
family and I moved to Chaffee County just over a year ago. I began
my pursuit of a physical therapy degree after spending 5 years as
an instructor at an outdoor education center in Breckenridge providing
therapeutic recreational opportunities for people with physical and
developmental disabilities. This was an empowering experience for
me and I wanted to be more effective at promoting people’s ability
to improve their function and pain management following injury.
I received my Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2002 and have experience working
in pediatric, geriatric, and out-patient orthopedic clinics.
|
I
provide a skilled assessment of balance, posture, strength, and range
of motion to develop an individualized, comprehensive program focused
on decreasing pain and improving function so that you can get back
to the activities and lifestyle you enjoy.
My wife, Kelley, is a teacher and we spend as much time as possible
chasing around our 2-year-old son, Kai, who fills us with joy. My
interests include playing guitar and piano, skiing, hiking, and camping.
I am proud to be a part of this amazing team of caring people at Premier
Home Care. |

Jill Armour
Speech-Language Therapist
|
I
have been practicing as a certified SLP for twenty five years with
populations as diverse as infants, adolescents and geriatric patients.
I enjoy them all! Working in settings such as hospitals, clinics,
schools and home health, I have been fortunate to gain a wide range
of experience. My patients teach me life lessons as I help them to
access their best communication skills.
My passion as a therapist lies in setting realistic goals with the
patients and their families, so they may remain excited and motivated
throughout the therapy experience. The goals set should reward the
individual as he, or she, incorporates and practices in every day
communication life exchanges. |
I want to create a safe and caring relationship with my patients and
help them to feel comfortable, pleased and successful in therapy.
I hope you will feel reassured knowing that I am working to create
the best health and communication care possible.
Communication is an integral part of our everyday life experience.
Your loved one can improve and thus their wellness will be enhanced.
